About MCA-CET 2025: MAH MCA CET is required for admission to the two-year full-time post-graduate degree course in Master of Computer Applications (MCA) offered by 200+ colleges in Maharashtra. 

Exam Conducting Body: MAH MCA CET is conducted by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Govt. of Maharashtra.

Eligibility Criteria: Mathematics at the intermediate level/ graduation level is a must. General Category candidates having 50% aggregate marks (at least 45% for SC/ ST/ PwD) belonging to the state of Maharashtra only. Final-year candidates can also apply.

Exam Format: MAH MCA CET is a Computer Based Test (CBT) with Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). The question paper will have a total of 100 objective-type questions with four choices each.

Exam Syllabus: MAH MCA CET tests candidate's knowledge in four areas: Mathematics & Statistics, Logical/ Abstract Reasoning, English comprehension & Verbal ability, and Computer Concepts.

Exam Duration and Marking Scheme: The total duration of the exam will be 90 minutes (1.5 hours). Each question in MAH MCA CET carries 2 marks. There will be NO negative marking in the exam.

NIMCET 2025

About NIMCET 2025: NIMCET is required for admission to the two-year full-time post-graduate degree course in Master of Computer Applications (MCA) offered by NITs (National Institute of Technology) in India. NITs are premium Institutes that provide technical degrees and courses.

Exam Conducting Body: The NIMCET is a Common Entrance National Level Test, conducted by any of the NITs at Agartala, Allahabad, Bhopal, Jamshedpur, Kurukshetra, Raipur, Surathkal, Tiruchirappalli and Warangal.

Eligibility Criteria: Candidates must be a citizen of India. Candidates must hold a graduation degree, such as BCA/B.Sc (Hons)/B.Sc/ BIT as per 10+2+3 pattern from a recognised University. Candidates must have studied Mathematics or Statistics or an equivalent subject during graduation degree. General category candidates need to score at least 60% marks or score 6.5 CGPA aggregate. Candidates belonging to the SC/ST category need to obtain at least 55% marks or score 6.0 CGPA on a 10-point scale in an aggregate of all subjects. Candidates who have a Bachelor of Engineering (BE), B.Tech degree, or equivalent degree are also eligible for NIMCET 2025.

Exam Format: The NIMCET 2025 exam will be conducted in online mode as a Computer Based Test. The question paper will have a total of 120 multiple-choice questions from the prescribed syllabus.

Exam Syllabus: The syllabus of NIMCET consists of Mathematics, Computer Awareness, Logical Reasoning and General English.

Exam Duration and Marking Scheme: The total duration of the exam will be 120 minutes (2 hours). 4 marks are given for each correct response while 1 mark is deducted for each incorrect response.
